THE CLIENT: Luxurious hand made soaps inspired by secret societies, cults and occult magic from around the world.
THE CHALLENGE: Aliya recently rebranded her soap making business and although has beautiful product shots, lacked a personal presence in her brand communication. She needed on-brand storytelling photography that would help connect with her niche target audience.
THE SOLUTION: Craft a shot list that would incorporate all things that Aliya and her niche audience have in common. Their values, their interests, their vibe. The mood is rich, powerful and enchanting.
ANN WHITAKER STYLE
THE CLIENT: Ann Whitaker is a seasoned image and styling consultant who helps clients build their confidence from the outside in.
THE CHALLENGE: To capture images of Ann that shows her authority in this field and position her styling services an investment worth paying for.
THE SOLUTION: Photograph Ann in and around her studio space looking relaxed in her environment. Confident eye contact is a powerful way to create connection.
TO BE OR NOT TO BE CAFE
THE CLIENT: To Be Or Not To Be is a Shakespearean inspired cafe based in the Western Suburbs Brisbane. It is run by three mates.
THE CHALLENGE: To photograph images that are press ready and can be used any time they introduce themselves to their customers online.
THE SOLUTION: Since the three owners are also three friends, it was important to capture their connection, as well as show off some of the venue so patrons can get a feel of what the vibe of the cafe is.
VISION PRECINCT
THE CLIENT: Independent family owned and operated optometrists with two store locations in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
THE CHALLENGE: To stand out from their competition, especially as one of the stores is located in a shopping centre with four other optometrists.
THE SOLUTION: Highlight their family oriented values, personalised friendly service, experienced staff, unique product range and showcase their professional and modern clinical space.
GREEN & CO REAL ESTATE
THE CLIENT: Beccy is an independent real estate agent whose top values are ethics, empathy, care and compassion.
THE CHALLENGE: To share these values through photography and to photograph Beccy more like a knowledgeable and dependable friend who will help you through the process, rather than a real estate agent who sees you purely as their next commission.
THE SOLUTION: Photograph Beccy in relaxed clothes, in a homely environment looking friendly, approachable and relatable but yet still credible and professional.
THE STUDIO OF PERFORMING ARTS
THE CLIENT: Local dance school in Springfield providing ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, dance, circus, acrobatics and musical theatre classes to students.
THE CHALLENGE: To create a library of images that showcased the range of classes, the level of expertise and the quality of service The Studio provides. Also, to assert The Studio’s founder, Danielle, as a dedicated business owner who is passionate about helping shape the future of her young students.
THE SOLUTION: Position Danielle in proud and confident poses, which will reflect her strength and resilience as a business owner working in the creative field. Also capture behind the scenes shots of classes in action to give potential students a glimpse into what it’s like to be part of The Studio family.
SPRINGFIELD MO-MEN
THE CLIENT: The local chapter of Mo-Men raising awareness for men’s mental health within the community.
THE CHALLENGE: To create images that they can use to raise awareness about some very serious and difficult topics of conversation.
THE SOLUTION: To add humour to the session and to photograph the three Springfield Mo-Men members in a fun and goofy way so they can use the images as an icebreaker to share their important messages.
THE DENTISTS
THE CLIENT: Four busy family friendly dental surgeries, located in different suburbs but run by the same team.
THE CHALLENGE: Each surgery had a different brand identity but as they are run by the same team, the images captured needed to work across all locations.
THE SOLUTION: To focus on personal branding shots for the key dentists, then headshots for the rest of the team plus highlight the different services that each of the surgeries offer. Some of these images are quite specific to a particular surgery due to its unique decor while others are more general.
BOMO BANDWAGON
THE CLIENT: This is a new co-work space based in the heart of Ipswich with a focus on nurturing and supporting small local businesses.
THE CHALLENGE: Libby (its owner) is extremely camera shy but knew she needed to step up in order to showcase her amazing and unique new venue.
THE SOLUTION: To include as much of the venue and its location in the branding portraits as possible. The venue’s quirky and eclectic decor along with the location are key selling points for this business.
CHAT WITH KYLIE
THE CLIENT: A personal blog with real and raw conversations showing women they are not alone in their struggles, whatever they may be.
THE CHALLENGE: To create a series of images that Kylie can use as conversation starters for her chat topics.
THE SOLUTION: Photograph Kylie in a way that allows her to embrace her bubbly personality, which she can then use to break the ice before broaching some deep and sometimes confronting topics.
VOICE HAIR & BEAUTY
THE CLIENT: An upbeat and vibrant hair & beauty salon located in the centre of Ipswich.
THE CHALLENGE: Tess & Teresa’s business has a strong social media presence but their feed lacks personal images of them. They want to start showing up in their business and needed professional images that really reflected their fun and funky personalities.
THE SOLUTION: Build a portfolio of images that showcases them as a professional team in their unique salon space, as well as individuals with vibrant personalities.

THE CLIENT: Tas Moulis is a business and mindset coach who supports business owners in the painting industry to help them achieve business success, while also maintaining their family and lifestyle goals.
THE CHALLENGE: To establish Tas as a respected business owner and credible business coach who understands the painting industry with all its perks and challenges.
THE SOLUTION: Each image captured needed to embody strength, discipline and relatability, which helps builds trust, credibility and likability.

THE CLIENT: Jordan Lennon is a classically trained freelance dancer, an educator at The Studio of Performing Arts and the owner of The Dancer’s Shop.
THE CHALLENGE: To elevate Jordan’s personal brand by building up his profile as an artist, an educator and a business owner.
THE SOLUTION: Curate a list of shots with classic poses to represent the casual cool confidence that Jordan possesses. Also include behind the scenes captures of him in action as a dance teacher.

THE CHALLENGE: To establish Victor as a passionate videographer with hands on experience to help businesses define their goals and communicate their message through video.
